Cetol 1 separates wood from the elements with a durable surface barrier which
repels water, while allowing excess moisture to escape, thus inhibiting fungal growth.
Because the finish “breathes” it allows the logs to regulate moisture content.

Hint: It typically takes 3 coats of Sikkens Translucent Exterior Wood Finish to
adequately protect your new log home. Plan to make the first coat Cetol 1, followed by
2 coats of Cetol 23. Periodic recoats should only require 1 coat.
